The New York Scooter Club’s mission is to help New York-area scooter owners and enthusiasts share information, socialize, and plan group scooter rides and other events.

First step in that process is getting to know each other!

Tell us a little about yourself! Examples
Jonathan aka Brouhaha
Ride: 2005 Imperial Blue ET4
Live: Boerum Hill, Brooklyn
Work: Downtown

Allison Watters
Ride: Stella
Work: Union Square
Live: Gramercy Park area
(how lame is that commute on a scooter?)
Riding experience: less than a year

P.S. I've consolidated the two prior threads on this topic to help prevent "Sticky" creep... You can read the old "Identify yourself! [Tell us who you are]" thread here:

Jonathan: Not two threads. Three. There's this, as well, from December 2005:

What do you ride?
http://www.nyscooterclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=109

Wait a sec... How does locking (and thereby consigning to the dustbin) the already amassed self-introductory material help things? Isn't this just chopping the information into pieces? Now I have to look in TWO places if I want to know who the hell Alan Gotlieb is. If I want to find some rider who signs on this weekend, I have to search TWO threads of introductions -- THREE if I'm trying to put a name with a bike.

That's exactly what "post creep" is: MULTIPLE threads on the same topic that prevent users from knowing which thread to look in. When you want something, you have to be able to know where to go for it.

'80 P200E -- de-incarnated for parts
Robin's '80 P200E -- borrowed Rustbucket
Joe's ET4 -- borrowed for Vesparade
Kristina's '80 P200E -- but let's not talk about that
Cristina's/Phil's ET4 -- borrowed for Block Party
Honda CX500C -- does not officially exist
assorted whateverBrettahaslyingabout -- whenever
and
any bicycle I can get my hands on

I'll find some pics...

Hey, I thought the idea was to put a face with the ride. Later photos are missing them.

This is my Piaggio Fly 150 which is unfortuantely at VespaQueens waiting parts. :( Hopefully have it back this week.

I've been riding only a couple of days, but I'll happily join a ride when I can, and will gladly listen to any pointers re: riding more safely.

I've been wondering this myself since it was my thread AND we have a "no locking" policy on this board.

Interesting...
