Name: Dan
Ride: 2010 Honda SH150i
Live: Rome, NY
Work: MIS in publishing.
Experience: I also just got my first scooter. Just picked it up Saturday, after spending all last week getting it registered and myself permitted, etc…. Granted, I'm from WAY far upstate. Central, NY actually. Still, after looking around the web for a good forum to start asking questions on, I picked this one. You're close enough that the basic weather and geography will be a closer match than say southern California. Also, the board looks pretty vibrant. I'm looking forward to picking everyone's brains.

Dammit. I already messed up. I had meant this to go in the introduction thread, not start a new thread. Sorry.

No worries, all good.

Welcome to the Forum.

A buddy of mine got married in Rome, NY (his wife grew up there). Cool little town.

Hi Cavallo, you'll find that people here aren't really interested in scooting, but in good pizza choices, or hamburgers, or fried Snickers bars. Cute or funny pictures or video of pigs are also a plus.

I think to be a member here you have to tell everyone first whether you're a crust or a sauce person. Something like that.

Cavallo, that's coming from someone who have never been seen by anyone here and whose existence is questionable.

Hmm. I'm definitely a sauce person (preferring brains on the side,) but I have to say that my favorite place for pizza downstate is in Hoboken. And the less said about downstate chicken wings the better. Blasphemy, I'm sure.

Anyway, I definitely exist, so that's something.

Welcome guys, good to know that both, Athena, and Cavallo, are new to scooters. If you want to meet most of us come to the city this weekend and enjoy the fun! Check the Forum for time and locations; we will have activities for Friday night, and all day Saturday, and Sunday.
See you then.

Not this weekend, I fear - but I do get down there at least a few times a year. I'll try to time it to meet some of you if possible. Although I'll likely be driving a minivan. :D
